The menu at Kathmandu Vibes is a delightful exploration of Nepal’s rich culinary heritage, with standout dishes that impress both newcomers and seasoned enthusiasts alike. For starters, the Naan at just $2.99 is a perfect companion—fluffy, slightly charred, and ideal for scooping up flavorful curries. The Newari Special, featuring Bara, pan-fried lentil patties enhanced with aromatic herbs, and Choila Chicken, offers a delightful taste of Nepal’s Newar community cuisine. But the star for many is the Sekuwa ($14.99), tender grilled meat served alongside crunchy beaten rice, tangy housemade pickles, and fresh salad, creating an exquisite balance of smoky, savory, and refreshing textures.
Noodle lovers will find irresistible options such as the stir-fried Chowmein ($10.99) loaded with seasonal vegetables, and the more complex Keema Noodle ($12.99), where mildly spiced minced chicken and housemade chili garlic sauce crown the dish with a hearty kick. These dishes dance on the palate with vibrant colors and layers of flavor—comforting yet refreshingly unique.

Jason Liszewski highlights the generous portions of his lamb biryani and the flavorful, crispy Samosa Chaat, a perfect way to start the meal with a burst of tangy and spicy delight. Local patron Anu Tamang echoes the authenticity, celebrating the Newari dishes and insisting on trying the chwoyala samayabaji set—a true must for anyone seeking an authentic taste of Kathmandu.

Delicious and very interesting Nepalese food. The biryani was especially delicious, both the chicken and the lamb. I especially liked the lamb because it was so tender. While it had several of the traditional dishes you would see at an Indian restaurant, it also had a section of uniquely Nepalese food which was worth ordering. The saag pannier and the korma were quite tasty also. All together, it was a wonderful eating experience.

Went around 1:30pm,the place was quiet, only one other table occupied. The service was great. The Lamb Biryani was delicious. I requested medium spicy and it was just right. With a good quantity of lamb..and there was a lot of food. I also got a cheese Naan to go for later in the day. It was good, actually a good amount of cheese. Definitely going to return.

It was such a great time to visit Kathmandu vibes restaurant. Being born and raised in Kathmandu I am so much in love with Newari food. Kathmandu vibes restaurant has that typical and authentic newari food taste. My favorite dish was chwoyala. That’s a must try samayabaji set, I would recommend.

Everything was fantastic! Started with Samosa Chaat, large portion, super flavorful. I could have eaten the whole appetizer and been full. My lamb biryani was the best I've ever had. Again the portion side was large and I'll be having the leftovers for lunch

Glad to have this new restaurant nearby! Buffet lunch offered a very good array of options; food was fresh and delicious, on par with other excellent Nepalese places I’ve eaten at in Tarrant Co and in the Chicago area. I’m a fan and will be back! Only trouble is the price is a tad high for me; it’s more special occasion than routine lunching, in my case. The ambiance could use a little step up to match the price tag, IMO. But they’ve only been open two weeks. Give them a try! And if you’ve never had Nepalese food, be brave! It’s so worth it! It’s delightfully flavorful cuisine! (Flavorful doesn’t mean spicy.)

– So Delicious! We had the Samosa Chaat and the Salmon Kebab, and both were amazing. The samosa chaat was full of flavor—crispy, tangy, a little spicy, and super satisfying. The salmon was perfectly cooked, juicy, and had a great smoky flavor. This may be the best Salmon and meal we have ever had!! The pricing is very fair, and we learned they have a lunch buffet:) The staff was friendly and the place felt cozy and welcoming. If you're craving tasty Nepali-Indian food, this spot is definitely worth it! We will be back!
